3. What We Don't Do
- We do NOT collect photos of children — only photos of meals
- We do NOT sell, rent, or share your child's personal information with third parties for marketing purposes

- We do NOT allow children to make their information publicly available
- We do NOT collect more information than is reasonably necessary
- We do NOT send your child's name, exact age, or exact weight to third-party AI services

4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to provide our functionality:
- Google Gemini AI — for meal photo analysis. We send only meal images and generic age brackets (e.g., “toddler,” “school-age”). No child names, exact ages, or weights are transmitted.
- Open Food Facts — for barcode-based food lookups. No personal information is sent.
- RevenueCat — for subscription management. We share only a pseudonymous user ID to track subscription status. No child data is shared.
We do not share personal information with any advertising networks, data brokers, or social media platforms.
5. Data Retention
- Your data is retained only as long as your account is active
- You may request deletion of your child's data at any time through the app settings
- Upon account deletion, all associated data (child profiles, growth logs, meal logs, supplement records) is permanently removed within 30 days
- Audit logs related to consent and data actions are retained for legal compliance for up to 3 years
6. Parental Rights
As a parent or legal guardian, you have the right to:
- Review all personal information collected about your child
- Request a copy of your child's data in a portable format
- Request deletion of your child's personal information
- Refuse further collection of your child's information
- Revoke your consent at any time

- Passwords are securely hashed using industry-standard algorithms
- Access to child data is restricted to the verified parent account
- API endpoints enforce ownership verification on every request
- Rate limiting is applied to prevent abuse

We will notify you of material changes to this Privacy Policy via in-app notification and email. Continued use of the app after such notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. If changes affect how we handle children's data, we will obtain fresh parental consent before applying the new practices.
